Rendy Raka Pramudya

Rendy Raka Pramudya was born in Jakarta on June 15, 1992. In 2010, I continued my education at the Faculty of Fine Arts, ITB. When I was in college I majored in Fine Arts, a painting studio. In 2014, during my final college assignment, I started working on the painting series “Menciptakan Perjalanan Hidup”. It was this series that I finally thought could represent what I really wanted to paint at that time. Until now, I am still working on this series of paintings.

After graduating from college in 2015 I decided to stay in Bandung. I often attend art exhibitions in Jakarta. I also started to make several new series of paintings such as “Kehendak Dalam Penciptaan” and “Lapisan Kehidupan”. At the end of 2017 I passed as a nominee at the Bandung Contemporary Art Award event held by Lawangwangi Creative Space. In that event, I entered a new series, “Bentuk Waktu Dalam Penciptaan”. In that series, I tried to separate the layers in the painting by painting on acrylic sheets, so that it looks like there is a different space and time in one work.
