Dadan Suhendar

Despite having a degree in ceramics, I have a passion for graphic art and design industries. I decided to travel to Bali after receiving my degree and spent a few years working as a graphic designer for an apparel firm before switching to become a product designer for handicrafts in a range of mediums and working with artisans.

After a few years of employment, I made the decision to start my own ceramics studio and instruct ceramics classes at an international school both individually and in groups. In 2016, I made the decision to move to Bandung and create across a variety of mediums, including ceramics. In 2018, I created the candak bag brand out of wood and occasionally displayed artwork and products in Jakarta, Bandung, and Bali. Currently, I’m working on creating my own Hitta Studio brand, which combines ceramics with other mediums.
